I bought a 55 gallon starter kit from petsmart the other day and when i set it up i realized that the heater they gave me isn’t powerfull enough to heat my tank. It sits in a room with no heating so we have a bunch of heater in there but the temp fluctuates pretty often. I am looking for a heater or 2 that will be able to withstand the temp changes. Any suggestions?

I KNOW-I KNOW…it’s like 90 degrees outside and I am asking about heaters! Anyway I live in an apartment where the heat is not controlled by the tenent. Can anyone recommend one that they have tried or heard good things about? I really don’t want to use a kerosene heater!
