I need to heat a large basement. And I might also use it to heat my bottom floor. Is there a certain heater that is really good. Like is there a new model with good technology or at a great price?

I bought a a ceramic heater but it doesn’t seem to work all that great. I have it in my living room, about 300-400 sf I would guess. I can only feel the heat when I put my hand directly in front of it. Im trying to save $$ by using this instead of the gas furnace. Does anyone know of a good energy efficient heater?

We like the rest of the world are trying to save money on our heat we live in CT. We leave for work at 5:30am and return around 7:00pm. We keep our house at 58 degree and when we come home, we are use a space heater for the few hours we are up rather than keep the whole house at 68 degrees.

I live in an apartment building. Each unit has a very compact water heater but every morning I wake up to shower and the hot water is gone after 1-2 minutes. That means in the middle of winter the I’m stuck showering in freezing cold water. I think this is just ridiculous that the apartment management has not supplied its residents with sufficient water heaters to supply hot water in the winter season. What should I do?
