I need to bypass the heater core but where do I find a fitting or finagle something?

I need to bypass my heater core and one hose is 5/8 and the other is 3/4. I replaced the heater core but its leaking for some reason because I half assed it. But its a piece of turd truck that I hope is going to get me a few months. I just need to know where I can buy a plain old non threaded 5/8 to 3/4 adapter to connect my 2 heater hoses together. I need something. Coolant slowly leaking into my truck is really starting to irritate me. Thanks for any help.
All the plumbing store I went to don’t have 5/8 because its not a standard size. Already thought of that. I just think I’m screwed. Maybe some scotch tape.

With some effort, you could probably get a 5/8 hose on a 3/4 fitting. Or you could try a 5/8 on both sides and really crank down on the 3/4 side to get it tight enough.

I’d imagine just about any autopart store could give you something that could work. If not, try a home improvement store. Just make sure anything you get from there can handle the heat of the coolant.

You can get a plumbing pipe adapter at your home center like Home Depot or Lowes.
