Heater core leaks all over the interior passenger floor. I guess my heater core is all screwed up. Can I bypass it or replace it.

By removing the dashboard you can get to the core to replace it. Too your second question yes.

You have to lower the steering column and remove the entire dashboard to replace that heater core. Lots of people bypass them because most labor guides call for 6.2 hours to replace them. Not having all of the right tools and never having done one before, you might find yourself busting youre knuckles for 3 or 4 days if you try it yourself. I used to work in a shop and I used to turn them down. They are a pain.

Remove the heater hoses, then remove the screws that hold the heat core housing, pull the heater core out on the left side. You have to have the accelerator pedal to the floor to get the housing out.

Go to an auto parts store and get yourself a haynes manual and it will give you a step by step on everything you need to know about your car…
