Magnum Opus asked:

Out of all the heaters you plug into a wall power socket, which is the cheapest to operate?

ie, fan heater? oil heater? radiant heater? or something else?

Thanks!

  1. Linus Says:

It is the induction heater. There is no filament to burn. It is a coil of fine wires but without using the resistance of the wire for heating up. Check it out in your local store.

For equal heat output, they all cost exactly the same to operate. All of them.

This is because resistance heating (which they all are) is 100% efficient. That down not mean they are inexpensive to operate.

You can find more info on them in the green search box above on this page. Just type in electric heater.
